The Role
We are looking for an Amazon Marketplace Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will own the day-to-day management and growth of Smartbox's Amazon business, ensuring the catalog is optimized, content is accurate, advertising is effective, and operational excellence is maintained across the marketplace. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, identify opportunities and issues proactively, and translate data into clear actions that drive sales, profitability, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central operations across catalog, content, pricing, promotions, and brand presence.
Create, optimize, and maintain product listings, including titles, bullet points, keywords, product attributes, variations, and content enhancements to improve conversion and organic visibility.
Own catalog health and compliance by monitoring listing quality, resolving suppressions, managing content contribution issues, and maintaining high Item Data Quality (IDQ) standards.
Execute and optimize Amazon Advertising campaigns, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display, ensuring efficient budget allocation and continuous performance improvement.
Monitor business performance and maintain weekly reporting across key metrics including sales, traffic, conversion, advertising efficiency, catalog health, content quality, inventory availability, and profitability.
Coordinate with Supply Chain, Category Management, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure strong retail readiness, inventory availability, and successful promotional execution.
Support new product launches from setup through growth phase, ensuring listings, advertising, content, inventory, and reporting are in place from launch.
Work cross-functionally with creative and content teams to improve product detail pages, A+ Content, Brand Stores, and overall customer experience.
Maintain clear documentation, SOPs, issue trackers, and process improvements to ensure efficient and repeatable execution.
Leverage AI-powered tools and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, generate actionable insights, automate routine tasks, and scale execution across Amazon marketplace activities.
About You
We're looking for someone who not only has the right skills but also embodies our guiding principles:
The Owner – You take accountability, act with integrity, and treat challenges as opportunities.
The Ambitious Maverick – You bring bold ideas, challenge the status quo, and are unafraid to take smart risks.
The Radical Optimist – You maintain a solutions-focused mindset, inspiring others with your positivity and resilience.
The Connector – You build authentic relationships, foster collaboration, and create space for diverse voices to thrive.
Skills & Experience
3–5 years of hands-on experience managing Amazon marketplaces, with proven experience in Vendor Central and/or Seller Central. Experience across both platforms is highly desirable.
Experience with Brand Registry, A+ Content, Brand Stores, and experimentation (A/B testing where available).
Experience using Amazon operational tools including flat files, bulk uploads, catalog management tools, and reporting platforms.
Experience launching new ASINs and driving listing optimization initiatives across content, discoverability, ratings, and reviews within Amazon policies.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot ambiguous problems using structured thinking, root-cause analysis, prioritization, and data-driven decision-making.
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of Amazon catalog management, compliance requirements, content standards, account health principles, and retail readiness.
Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with large datasets and KPIs.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and automation tools to increase productivity, improve decision-making, and scale execution across complex business processes.
