Job description:
Saint James School of Medicine, St. Vincent Campus is seeking a reliable, skilled and proactive individual to join our team as a Maintenance Coordinator.
The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of the campus, ensuring that classrooms, offices, bathrooms, equipment and other facilities are safe, functional and properly maintained.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct daily inspections of the campus and promptly identify maintenance needs.
Ensure classrooms, bathrooms and other facilities are operational and ready for daily use.
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and furniture repairs.
Monitor air-conditioning systems and coordinate servicing and repairs when necessary.
Carry out preventative maintenance and identify potential problems before they become major issues.
Assist with moving furniture, room preparation, renovations and other campus projects.
Maintain proper accountability for maintenance tools, equipment and supplies.
Liaise with contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs.
Maintain appropriate records of maintenance issues, repairs and completed work.
Respond promptly to urgent maintenance matters and follow through until issues are resolved.
The successful candidate must also be punctual, dependable and accountable, demonstrate initiative, have good problem-solving skills and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
