Direct Support Professional

KMA Health Services is a service provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide in-home support services, community coaching, and respite care. This case has the following hours:
Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Sunday 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This position requires the ability to assist individuals with teaching skills and offering aid to accomplish their personally set goals for independent living. Duties and responsibilities include:
Assisting with activities of daily living,
Monitoring for safety,
Transporting to activities,
Assisting with basic hygiene,
Behavior management (training is provided),
Submit daily progress notes, and
Maintain a healthy and safe environment for the individual and the employee.
Perform simple nursing care, first-aid, behavior management, personal and hygiene
Requirements: A minimum of one year experience in the medical or a related field (social work, psychology, nursing assistance, etc.) Additionally, the following are required:
A reliable car
A current driver's license
A current work authorization
Current auto insurance
Current CPR & First Aid
Current physical exam
Current tuberculosis test with negative result
Social Security Card
Resume
