Certified Police Officer

The Suwanee Police Department is seeking Certified Police Officers committed to serving and protecting the City of Suwanee and its residents. As first responders, police officers are vital to public safety and, under regular supervision, perform basic police services in accordance with the mission, goals, and objectives of the City of Suwanee Police Department and in compliance with governing federal, state, and local laws.
The City of Suwanee provides police service 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Shift work, including nights, weekends and holidays, is required.

Compensation:
Applicants with (1) or more years of prior certified law enforcement experience, who are employed by a state of Georgia accredited agency or another state that has certification reciprocity with Georgia P.O.S.T., may qualify for additional pay. Applicants must provide a copy of their POST record, which shows their certification is active and verifies the date they were certified by the state. Credit may be given for up to (5) years of experience.
