We're looking for an experienced National WHS Manager to join our National Restaurant Support Centre team and lead safety across one of Australia's largest QSR brands with the most dynamic restaurant networks.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday leadership opportunity for a WHS professional who can balance strategic thinking with a practical, people-first approach. Providing strategic WHS leadership, governance and specialist advice across the business, you'll drive our national WHS strategy, strengthen safety systems and partner with leaders across a broad range of functions to proactively identify and manage risk before changes, new equipment, restaurant designs or products are introduced.
What will you be doing?
Leading and delivering Hungry Jack's national WHS strategy and safety improvement initiatives.
Managing and continuously improving the WHS Management System and ensuring alignment with relevant legislation and ISO 45001 principles.
Providing strategic WHS advice and guidance to executive leaders, operational teams and franchise networks.
Leading incident investigations, risk assessments, audits and corrective action programs.
Partnering with cross-functional teams on new restaurant openings, equipment rollouts and business improvement projects.
Preparing WHS reporting, analysis and recommendations for Executive Leadership and the Board.
Monitoring emerging WHS risks and implementing practical, effective solutions.
Overseeing national audits, inspections, regulatory interactions, performance reporting and assurance activities.
Supporting injury management, early intervention and return-to-work programs.
Leading and developing the WHS Coordinator while fostering collaboration and accountability across the business.
What are we looking for?
Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Minimum five years’ experience in a WHS leadership role.
Strong experience supporting multi-site operational environments, ideally within QSR, retail, hospitality or another multi-site environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience with risk assessment, auditing, incident investigation and WHS management systems, including exposure to ISO 45001 frameworks.
A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence, coach and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to build credibility across diverse teams and business functions.
A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance compliance requirements with operational realities.
A genuine passion for fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performing safety culture.
Why Hungry Jack's?
At Hungry Jack's, people are at the heart of everything we do. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact across a national organisation while partnering with passionate teams who are committed to creating safer workplaces and delivering great outcomes for our people.
