Radiologist - Diagnostic Radiology Services

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and interpreting the outcomes of diagnostic imaging procedures, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computer tomography (CT), mammography, ultrasound, plain X-Rays and fluoroscopy.
Key responsibilities include:
Reporting on all plain X-Rays and conducting special investigations, such as barium enemas, meal, IVP, VCUG, sialogram, retrograde urethrogram and HSG
Communicating examination results or diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, or families
Providing counseling to radiologic patients to explain the processes, risks and benefits of the procedure
Developing or monitoring procedures to ensure adequate quality control of images
Instructing radiologic staff in desired techniques, positions, or projections
Conducting physical examinations to make decisions about appropriate procedures
The successful candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:
A Medical Degree (M.D. or M.B.B.S.) from an accredited school of medicine, plus a completed residency programme in Radiology.
At least three (3) years of relevant practical experience.
Up-to-date registration with the Barbados Medical Council (or other professional registration body if not resident in Barbados).
High proficiency and comfort level in performing biopsies and CT drainage procedures
BLS or ACLS certification would be an asset.
