Gateway Middle School Temporary Math Teacher- Immediate Opening

This is a full-time temporary position: October 2026 - March 2027 - exact end date to be determined

Gateway’s Approach to Math:
Block Math classes to support conceptual learning as well as fluency and skill development
A focus on CCSS-Math practices through the use of Number Talks, collaborative learning, and complex tasks
Middle School Math Teacher Responsibilities:
Teach three sections of interactive, Common Core Mathematics, and a 45-minute personalized learning block four days a week
Collaborate with teaching team to plan curriculum, lessons and assessments
Lead a daily Advisory of 17-20 students, supporting their social-emotional growth and academic learning
Collaborate with subject area and grade level teams to analyze student learning, differentiate instruction and build a positive school culture
Compensation Range:
Commensurate with experience and FTE level, based on a full-time salary scale, for credentialed teachers, of $85,000 -$110,000

Current California credential required -- Multiple Subjects or Single Subject Math Credential
