IGA Specialist – Microsoft Entra ID & MIM

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IGA Specialist – Microsoft Entra ID & MIM based in India.
We are seeking an experienced Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) Specialist to design, implement, and optimize secure identity management solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. In this role, you will manage Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) to strengthen access governance, streamline identity provisioning, and protect critical enterprise systems. You will develop automation workflows, integrate modern authentication protocols, and establish robust access control frameworks. Your expertise will help ensure regulatory compliance, reduce identity-related risks, and deliver seamless access experiences for users. Working across identity platforms and security technologies, you will collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions. Accountabilities
Identity Infrastructure Management: Design, maintain, and optimize identity synchronization between on-premises Active Directory and cloud environments using Microsoft Entra Connect and Cloud Sync.
Identity Lifecycle Automation: Develop and deploy advanced automation scripts using PowerShell, C# Rules Extensions, and SQL Server to support identity provisioning, synchronization, and complex access management workflows.
Access Governance and Control: Design and enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models, manage access reviews and certification campaigns, and conduct segregation of duties (SoD) analysis to mitigate security risks.
Authentication and Federation: Implement and manage secure identity federation and authentication protocols, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SCIM, enabling reliable single sign-on and identity integration.
Custom Integrations and Workflow Development: Use Microsoft Graph API, Azure Logic Apps, and Power Automate to develop integrations and streamline identity governance processes.
Microsoft Identity Platform Administration: Administer and optimize Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM 2016) and Microsoft Entra ID, maintaining platform performance, availability, and security.
Third-party Identity Solutions: Evaluate and integrate identity governance and privileged access management platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, and Okta to support a unified identity security ecosystem.
Security Monitoring and Compliance: Continuously monitor and audit access permissions, identify potential risks, and ensure adherence to internal security policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Professional Experience: At least 6 years of professional experience in identity management, preferably within the IT services industry.
Microsoft Identity Technologies: Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM 2016).
Active Directory and Synchronization: In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including practical experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Entra Connect and Cloud Sync.
Scripting and Automation: Advanced proficiency in PowerShell, C#, and SQL Server for developing custom rules extensions, identity logic, and automated workflows.
Identity Governance: Strong understanding of RBAC, access reviews, access certification, segregation of duties, and enterprise identity governance principles.
Authentication Protocols: Comprehensive knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM, with experience implementing secure authentication and authorization solutions.
API and Integration Expertise: Experience using Microsoft Graph API, Azure Logic Apps, and Power Automate to build identity integrations and automate operational processes.
Third-party IGA and PAM Tools: Familiarity with platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, or Okta.
Security and Compliance Mindset: Ability to identify access-related risks, strengthen controls, maintain audit readiness, and implement security best practices.
Analytical and Problem-solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to resolve complex identity management challenges.
Communication and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into secure, scalable identity solutions.
