International Business Analyst
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Data Analyst in Australia/New Zealand.
Working across International Operations, Product, Data and Technology teams, the International Business Analyst plays a key role in turning business priorities and strategic objectives into clear, testable and delivery-ready requirements. Acting as the link between business stakeholders and delivery teams, you will help shape solutions that improve processes, increase efficiency and deliver measurable value across a complex international environment.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand challenges, identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and define business needs. Through workshops, interviews and analysis, you will gather, document and manage requirements, ensuring alignment across teams and supporting successful change from concept through to implementation.
In partnership with Product, Design, Development, Data and Testing teams, you will create high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog items that are ready for Agile delivery. You will analyse current and future state processes, identify dependencies and risks, maintain traceability, and provide ongoing support throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure solutions meet business and user needs.
You will contribute to business cases, support benefits tracking and help deliver operational improvements through technology, data-led decision making and AI-enabled solutions where appropriate. The role also supports User Acceptance Testing, change readiness activities and the evaluation of outcomes against agreed objectives and success measures.
Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly, build trusted relationships across regions and functions, and drive consensus in a collaborative environment. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of Business Analysis standards, tools and ways of working, helping to strengthen capability across the organisation.
This is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, influencing stakeholders, translating ideas into practical solutions and working at the heart of business change within a fast-paced, international organisation.
The skills you will have when you apply:
Business Analysis Expertise: Proven experience delivering business analysis across complex change initiatives, including requirements elicitation, documentation, traceability, user story creation, acceptance criteria definition and business process modelling.
Technical & Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of claims management systems, digital products, data flows, system integrations and analysis methodologies, with experience working across both Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively across organisational levels, influence outcomes and communicate complex information with clarity and precision.
Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Highly developed analytical, critical-thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities, with confidence to challenge constructively, test assumptions and translate business needs into delivery-ready solutions.
Delivery & Change Management: Experience supporting Agile delivery teams through backlog refinement, feature decomposition, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities, ensuring successful delivery of business outcomes.
Professional Experience & Qualifications: Experience working across multiple countries, territories or business units, ideally within insurance, claims management, financial services or another regulated environment. A recognised Business Analysis qualification and additional language capabilities are desirable but not essential.
