About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We’re looking for a Product Manager with experience owning accounting and financial ledger functionality to join a San Francisco-based software company. Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll take ownership of a significant part of the core ERP, working closely with product, engineering, and design.
What you’ll do:
Define and execute the product roadmap for your area of ownership, with a focus on accounting and financial ledger functionality within the ERP.
Maintain a clear, prioritized roadmap and proactively communicate timelines, risks, and tradeoffs.
Own complex features end-to-end, from problem discovery and requirements definition through launch and measurement of outcomes.
Write clear PRDs, specifications, and decision documents that enable engineering teams to build effectively.
Work with engineers to translate specific customer requests into features that improve the broader product.
Collaborate with engineering, customer success, sales, and marketing to consolidate feedback and guide product decisions.
Work directly with senior leadership to align product priorities with business needs.
What we’re looking for:
Solid experience in technology product management, with a background in supply chain, ERP, CRM, B2B marketplaces, or accounting software.
Direct product ownership of accounting and financial ledger functionality. You must have been responsible for defining and delivering this functionality; exposure as a user, stakeholder, or occasional contributor is not sufficient.
A track record of owning and shipping complex features end-to-end, turning ambiguous problems into launched solutions with measurable outcomes.
Hands-on experience with product management tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, or similar platforms.
Technical fluency: the ability to read API documentation and write clear, actionable specifications for engineers.
Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to distinguish urgent requests from important priorities and manage scope.
Clear written and verbal communication, including experience producing PRDs, decision memos, and specification documents.
Advanced English for professional communication.
Nice to have:
Experience with UX design.
Experience in early-stage startups with fewer than 50 employees.
