Role Description The Director of Portfolio Management is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing a portfolio of client programs and projects aligned with strategic, financial, and operational goals. This role leads portfolio planning, prioritization, and performance monitoring to ensure initiatives support long-term growth and sustainability. Day-to-day activities include analyzing financial and operational data, assessing project and program health, recommending resource allocation, and developing portfolio governance frameworks. The director collaborates closely with internal teams and client leadership, providing strategic insights, risk assessments, and decision support to improve outcomes across the portfolio. The role also involves establishing best practices, reporting on portfolio performance, and driving continuous improvement in portfolio management processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex financial, operational, and strategic data and provide clear, actionable insights.
Candidates should possess expertise in Finance to understand cash flow, profitability drivers, investment trade-offs, and financial strategy alignment.
Candidates should possess Program Management skills to coordinate multiple initiatives, manage timelines and dependencies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Candidates should possess Project Portfolio Management and Portfolio Management skills to prioritize initiatives, manage risk, and optimize value across a portfolio of projects and programs.
Relevant experience in strategic advisory, management consulting, or corporate strategy, preferably within finance or operations-focused roles.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, collaborate with senior leadership, and communicate complex concepts in a clear, concise manner.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience implementing portfolio governance frameworks and using portfolio or project management tools is highly beneficial.
