Provide support across preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and unplanned repairs on our Heavy mobile Hitachi, Komatsu, and Caterpillar mining fleets at our Mount Morgans operation.
Job Statement
Genesis Mining Services (GMS) are seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our high performing Mobile Maintenance team at our Laverton operation, where the way we work is just as important as your trade expertise.
This is an opportunity to work on a modern, well maintained fleet of Komatsu, Hitachi and Caterpillar mining equipment, backed by structured maintenance programs, advanced diagnostic technology, and a team committed to doing the job right the first time. Your strong technical expertise will be instrumental in supporting preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and breakdown repairs across our modern fleet of Hitachi, Komatsu, and Caterpillar mining equipment. You'll play a critical role in maximising fleet reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
A 15 days and nights, 13 off FIFO roster from Perth to Leonora is on offer or DIDO from surrounding communities.
Key responsibilities also include:
Ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with WHS legislation
Maintaining equipment to company standards and OEM specifications
Reporting day to day activities, breakdowns, and labour requirements to the Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter
Promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture across the team
About You

Backed by strong technical expertise and experience working on modern mining fleets, you'll be committed to maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and performance.
You will also have:
Current Driver's Licence (HR desirable)
Demonstrated experience in field service, including diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing faults across heavy mobile mining equipment
WA recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Fitting (or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in mobile equipment maintenance within the mining industry
Strong commitment to safe work practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Full Australian working rights are required for this opportunity
