Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Varun Beverages Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Sandila. The Assistant Manager will support day-to-day operations, including planning and coordinating activities within their assigned function, monitoring performance against targets, and ensuring adherence to company policies and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing and analyzing reports, and contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. The Assistant Manager will assist in supervising team members, guiding them to meet objectives, and helping to resolve operational issues in a timely manner. The position also includes maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory, and ESG-related practices in line with VBL’s organizational values.
Qualifications
Strong operational and coordination skills, including experience in managing daily workflows, monitoring KPIs, and supporting process improvements.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use spreadsheets, ERP or other business tools to track performance and prepare management reports.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide staff, and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership potential, including basic people management skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.
Understanding of FMCG or manufacturing environments, preferably within beverages or related industries, and familiarity with quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications in operations or supply chain are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Sandila, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and align with VBL’s values around ESG, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
