Role Description The UCAT Instructor role at IvyCraft is a full-time remote position focused on delivering high-quality UCAT preparation to students through online classes, workshops, and one-on-one support. Instructors design and deliver interactive lessons covering all UCAT sections, explain strategies and question types, and guide learners through timed practice. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, hosting live virtual sessions, assigning and reviewing practice work, and providing constructive feedback on student performance. The role also involves monitoring learner progress using online platforms, responding to student questions via digital channels, and collaborating with the team to refine curriculum and teaching methods. Instructors are expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of UCAT formats and best practices while fostering an inclusive, encouraging, and professional learning environment.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in UCAT content and test-taking strategies, with a track record of high personal performance or successful student outcomes.
Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and explaining complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
Comfort with remote teaching tools, including video conferencing platforms, digital whiteboards, and learning management systems.
Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken English, concise written feedback, and active listening.
Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple classes or student groups, and maintain organized records of learner progress.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and support for learners from varied backgrounds.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, psychology, biomedical sciences, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
