About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Company Description
Kindred Tutors is a STEM-focused test preparation business built on the belief that kindness drives results. We help students build confidence and improve academic performance through structured, engineering-based preparation for standardized tests, including the SHSAT, SAT and ACT.
Our approach combines analytical problem-solving with a student-centered philosophy, helping learners develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Role Description
Kindred Tutors is seeking a proactive, analytical, and self-directed Curriculum Developer to help research, design, and develop our STEM-based test preparation programs.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys educational research, instructional design, and creating high-quality learning materials. You'll take ownership of curriculum development projects, from researching competitors and proposing program structures to creating detailed syllabi, lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments.
Working directly with the founder, you'll help determine how our programs should be structured, including course duration, instructional hours, session pacing, and learning objectives. You'll also contribute to developing educational content for our website and communicating what makes Kindred Tutors' approach distinctive.
We are looking for someone who can think independently, conduct thorough research, make thoughtful recommendations, and turn ideas into complete, well-developed materials rather than relying on step-by-step direction.
Note: Kindred Tutors is currently a pre-revenue, early-stage business. This is a part-time, project-based collaboration with an expected commitment of approximately 10–20 hours per week. Compensation will develop alongside the business.
