OVERVIEW
We are looking for translators with experience in translating patents from English into Portuguese (Brazil) (native-level fluency of Portuguese) with immediate availability for a patent translation project.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in translating and proofreading patents, specifically in the field of Computer Science, Electricity.

Main Duties
Translate patent-related content from English into Portuguese(Brazil) , with original meaning conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to target audience
Perform translation and copy edit from English (en-US) to Portuguese (pt-BR) for patent
Identify and correct linguistic errors, ensuring consistency in terminology, style, and adherence to client-specific guidelines
Provide detailed feedback to translators and create comprehensive quality reports
Ensure adherence to client-specific style guides, glossaries, and project guidelines
Utilize CAT tools (XTM) to review and assess translations efficiently
Manage weekly capacity to handle +5,000 words per locale and ensure timely task completion
Requirements
BS/BA in linguistics, translation, biology, or related fields
2+ years of work experience in translation, linguistic quality assessment, copywriting, or copy-editing, specifically in patents or technical content
Deep understanding of biological terminology and ability to adapt complex scientific language for target audiences
Proven experience in reviewing or translating patents or technical documents
Proficiency in using CAT tools like XTM for project management and quality assessment
