About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Build an enterprise AI platform on OpenShift AI (RHOAI)
We’re looking for senior consultants to design and deliver an enterprise AI platform on OpenShift AI, from the gateway and guardrails through to the pipelines that move models into production.
This is a build role. You’ll turn fast-moving AI capability into secure, standardised services teams can pick up and use, rather than a string of one-off pilots. You’ll also help shape the platform from the ground up, because the AI portfolio is still being established.
What you’ll work on
CI/CD pipelines for enterprise AI platform products
An enterprise AI gateway giving standardised access to approved models, with routing, authentication, policies and guardrails
An AI workload factory that automates provisioning of OpenShift AI (RHOAI) resources for new workloads
Model onboarding, validation, deployment and promotion across DEV, TEST and PROD
AI observability, including dashboards, alerting, model performance and GPU utilisation reporting
Security controls and guardrails through policy as code, covering harmful content, bias and toxicity
Reusable RAG services and blueprints for LLM applications and AI agents
A standardised developer platform, plus usage, telemetry and cost visibility
What you’ll bring
Hands-on experience with OpenShift AI, including model serving, pipelines and GPU workloads
Strong OpenShift, Kubernetes and cloud-native platform engineering experience
A track record of building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
Knowledge of AI and ML platforms, model lifecycle management and deployment
Experience with monitoring, observability and operational support
A good grasp of enterprise security, governance and compliance controls
Experience building platform standards, templates and self-service capability for engineering teams
Strong stakeholder skills across technical and business teams
Highly desirable: LLMs, RAG architectures and AI application development
The engagement
Contract, full-time (40 hours a week)
12 months from starting late 2026 / early 2027, with a further year possible
Australia-wide, with Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne preferred
Active Australian Government NV1 clearance, or one that can be readily reinstated
