Role
The Resort Host is responsible for providing highly personalized and discreet service to guests, anticipating their needs, and ensuring an exceptional lodging experience that reflects the hotel’s luxury standards. This role requires attention to detail, proactivity, and outstanding interpersonal skills to create memorable moments and exceed guest expectations.
The Resort Host manages services such as room preparation, luggage assistance, coordination of personalized experiences, activity reservations, fulfillment of special requests, and any other requirements that contribute to guest comfort and satisfaction. They work closely with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery and the provision of consistent and exclusive experiences.
Responsibilities
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with guests, anticipating their needs, preferences, and expectations to deliver exceptional and memorable experiences.
Coordinates and conducts in-room check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring compliance with service standards and delivering a seamless, personalized arrival and departure experience.
Plans, updates, and follows up on guest itineraries, reservations, transportation, excursions, activities, and special requests in collaboration with the relevant departments.
Addresses and resolves guest complaints, documents incidents, follows up on feedback, and coordinates corrective actions to ensure guest satisfaction and service recovery.
Develops and coordinates personalized amenities, gifts, celebrations, and special experiences based on guests’ preferences, interests, and special occasions.
Inspects guest rooms before and during stays, coordinating with Housekeeping to ensure timely room cleaning, turndown service, amenity replenishment, and fulfillment of guest requests.
Arranges restaurant reservations, in-room dining, spa treatments, and wellness activities, providing tailored recommendations based on guests’ preferences, dietary restrictions, and allergies.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date guest profiles, preferences, and special requests in the hotel systems, reviews guest accounts, processes charges and payments, and makes necessary adjustments.
Serves as the primary liaison between guests and hotel departments, ensuring the timely execution of requests and providing front desk support during peak periods.
Maintains a professional appearance and consistently adheres to brand standards, departmental policies, and service procedures while gathering guest feedback and participating in initiatives to improve service quality and operational performance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or equivalent.
2 years of previous experience in the position within luxury hotel operations.
Experience managing the area in luxury hotels.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish.
Flexibility with work schedule changes.
