Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and analytical Analog Circuit Design Engineer to join our core technical team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, simulation, and verification of high-performance analog and mixed-signal blocks. You will work closely with layout engineers to ensure design specifications are met from schematic through to post-layout extraction and silicon validation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and verify complex analog/mixed-signal IP blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, Bandgaps, Oscillators, and high-speed I/O interfaces.
Perform schematic capture, extensive circuit simulation (DC, AC, Transient, Noise, Monte Carlo), and optimization across PVT corners.
Collaborate intimately with the analog layout team to provide floorplanning guidance, matching requirements, and parasitic extraction feedback.
Conduct post-layout simulations to guarantee design robustness and performance integrity.
Participate in design reviews, document architectures, and create detailed test plans for silicon characterization and debugging.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the enhancement of internal design methodologies.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, or Ph.D. in Electronics, Microelectronics, VLSI Design, or a related field.
Experience: 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in analog/mixed-signal circuit design.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong fundamental knowledge of CMOS device physics and analog circuit design principles.
Expertise in industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, ADE, Spectre, HSPICE).
Experience with deep sub-micron technology nodes (knowledge of FinFET technologies is a strong plus).
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PERL, or Skill) for automation is advantageous.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
