Junior AWS DevOps Engineer

Description
Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of experience in DevOps and cloudinfrastructure management. The candidate will work closely with our existing DevOps team to maintainand improve AWS production environments, support application deployments, troubleshoot infrastructureissues, and ensure system reliability, security, and performance.
The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on AWS experience, a good understanding of CI/CD pipelines,Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and scripting, along with a proactive approach to troubleshooting andautomation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, security, and reliability.
Monitor production environments, troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, and assist with rootcause analysis.
Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments and rollback procedures.
Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Codetools.
Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerts using AWS CloudWatch or equivalenttools.
Follow cloud security best practices, including IAM access controls, secrets management, andleast-privilege access.
Monitor AWS resource utilization and identify opportunities for cloud cost optimization.
Collaborate with development, data, and DevOps teams to support releases and resolve productionissues.
Participate in production support and on-call rotations as required.
Automate routine operational tasks using Python and/or Bash scripting.
Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, and troubleshootingprocesses.
Essential Technical Skills
AWS: Hands-on experience with EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, ALB/ELB, Auto Scaling, CloudFront, and AWSCodeBuild/CodeDeploy or equivalent AWS deployment services.
Networking: Understanding of VPC architecture, public and private subnets, routing, security groups,NACLs, DNS, and load balancing.
CI/CD: Practical experience building or maintaining pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWSCodePipeline, or equivalent tools.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar toolsfor infrastructure provisioning and management.
Monitoring and Logging: Experience with CloudWatch or equivalent tools for monitoring metrics,analyzing logs, configuring alerts, and troubleshooting issues.
Troubleshooting: Ability to investigate and resolve infrastructure, networking, deployment, andapplication-related issues.
Security: Familiarity with IAM policies, access management, secrets management, SSL/TLS, and cloudsecurity best practices.

CDN, DNS and WAF: Working knowledge of CDN, DNS, and Web Application Firewall concepts.
Databases: Basic working knowledge of PostgreSQL administration; MySQL familiarity is an advantage.
Scripting and Automation: Basic to intermediate scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
Production Support: Understanding of application deployments, production monitoring, incidentmanagement, and service reliability.
