# Hiring: L3 Network Engineer

Wits Innovation Lab is looking for an experienced L3 Network Engineer with strong expertise in network infrastructure, data center environments, routing, switching, and network security.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network and security devices.
- Resolve LAN/WAN, firewall, VPN, and network connectivity issues.
- Monitor network availability, performance, and security.
- Manage network device connectivity across data centers and banking environments.
- Coordinate with customers, service providers, vendors, and technical support teams to identify root causes and resolve issues.
- Support new network projects and prepare technical specifications for RFPs.
**Required Skills**
- Strong expertise in BGP (mandatory), OSPF, HSRP, and VRRP.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Data Center environment.
- Hands-on experience with routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, SVI, and LACP.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Check Point, or related network and security devices.
- Knowledge of firewalls, IPS/IDS, UTM, SD-WAN (FortiGate/Aruba), VPN, and NAT.
- Familiarity with NMS, SNMP, Syslog, RADIUS, and TACACS+.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
