Job Description
Your Role
Lead the analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization of complex legacy data pipelines built on SQL Server and SSIS, ensuring business-critical data processes continue running smoothly during migration.
Take ownership of migrating enterprise data workloads to modern platforms such as Snowflake or Hive, making key technical decisions with minimal supervision.
Work closely with data architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand existing data flows and translate them into scalable, future-state solutions.
Deep dive into large and sometimes undocumented data ecosystems, using advanced SQL expertise to identify issues, optimize performance, and resolve complex data challenges.
Act as a senior technical contributor who can ramp up quickly, work independently, mentor less experienced engineers when needed, and drive project delivery in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment.
Your Profile
5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale data solutions, with deep expertise in SQL Server, ETL development, and data integration architectures.
Expert-level SQL skills, including complex query development, performance tuning, data analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of large-volume transactional and analytical datasets.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and SSIS, including developing, enhancing, maintaining, and migrating business-critical data pipelines in production environments.
Proven ability to analyze, reverse-engineer, and modernize legacy data ecosystems, with experience debugging complex end-to-end data workflows and identifying root causes across multiple systems.
Experience working with Snowflake, combined with the ability to independently drive migration initiatives, make technical recommendations, and deliver solutions with minimal oversight.
