About the Role
We are looking for a Salesforce Administrator to configure, maintain and improve Salesforce for our clients and internal teams. You will work with users, developers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, improve processes and support day-to-day operations.
The role also includes testing Salesforce functionality, creating test cases and checking that configurations, applications and enhancements meet business requirements before release.
Key Responsibilities:
Salesforce Administration
· Manage users, licences, profiles, permission sets, roles and sharing settings.
· Configure objects, fields, page layouts, Lightning record pages, record types and validation rules.
· Build, maintain and troubleshoot Salesforce Flows and approval processes.
· Create reports and dashboards to support business decisions.
· Maintain data quality through imports, updates, cleansing and duplicate management.
· Investigate user issues and coordinate technical fixes with developers.
· Gather business requirements and translate them into practical Salesforce solutions.
· Install, configure and support AppExchange applications.
· Support integrations by monitoring issues and coordinating with technical teams.
· Manage changes in sandboxes and support deployments to production.
· Review Salesforce releases and assess their impact on existing functionality.
· Create configuration documentation, user guides and training materials.
· Deliver user training and follow Salesforce security and administration best practices.
Testing and Quality Assurance
· Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios and test data based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
· Test Salesforce configurations, Flows, validation rules, permissions and page layouts.
· Perform functional, regression and end-to-end testing across business processes.
· Test AppExchange applications, integrations and enhancements from a user perspective.
· Check positive and negative scenarios, including required fields, invalid data and restricted access.
· Record defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected and actual results, and supporting screenshots.
· Work with developers to investigate issues, retest fixes and track defects through to closure.
· Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by helping business users execute test cases and capture feedback.
· Document test results and highlight unresolved issues before deployment.
· Perform post-deployment checks to confirm that released functionality works as expected.
Required Skills and Experience
· At least two years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience.
· Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, security and data management.
· Practical experience building and troubleshooting Salesforce Flows.
· Experience creating reports, dashboards and validation rules.
· Familiarity with Data Loader and Salesforce data import tools.
· Experience creating and executing test cases for Salesforce functionality.
· Understanding of functional testing, regression testing and UAT.
· Ability to identify, reproduce and document defects clearly.
· Ability to understand business processes and recommend suitable solutions.
· Strong troubleshooting, communication and organisational skills.
· Attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
Desirable Skills
· Salesforce Certified Administrator certification.
· Experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
· Experience working in a Salesforce consultancy or supporting multiple clients.
· Experience testing managed packages or AppExchange applications.
· Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar systems for tracking requirements, test cases and defects.
· Familiarity with Salesforce deployment tools and change management processes.
· Exposure to Experience Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud or Agentforce.
