We are looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen our Finance team, driving the monthly reporting cycle in SAP and turning the numbers into insight – from Actual vs. Budget and Forecast vs. Budget analysis through to supporting our statutory and financial audits. This role would suit an experienced, SAP-savvy accountant who combines technical rigour with genuine curiosity about what drives performance in a fast-paced, creative business.
Please note: This is an on-site role based in Mumbai supporting the MENA region. Candidates should be willing to work from the Mumbai office and collaborate with stakeholders across the region.
What you'll do:
Monthly reporting & close in SAP – drive the monthly close in SAP in liaison with GFSS: journal entries, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting packs, ensuring results are accurate, complete and on time. Run and interpret SAP reports (GL, cost centre and profit centre) and help improve reporting templates and close processes
Budget, forecast & variance analysis – prepare the monthly Actual vs. Budget and Forecast vs. Budget analysis, investigating variances with budget holders and clearly explaining the key drivers to the Finance Director. Support the annual budget and periodic forecast cycles, including profitability analysis by project and revenue stream.
Transactional accounting & controls – review and oversee Purchase Orders, vendor/customer master data and invoice processing in SAP, monitor local bank and treasury positions, and help strengthen internal controls.
Statutory & financial audit support – act as a key point of contact forvthe external auditors: prepare audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation, follow up the FY23–FY26 statutory audit catch-up.
Corporate Tax, VAT & electronic invoicing (statutory matters) – support the quarterly VAT filing and the review of all VAT scenarios, Corporate Tax compliance, electronic invoicing implementation and other-country tax forms.
Who you are:
Previous Experience: 7+ years in accounting/finance, ideally combining external audit (Big 4 or mid-tier) with an in-house role in a multinational group, and a solid track record in month-end close and management reporting
SAP: Strong hands-on SAP FI/CO experience (S/4HANA a plus) – posting, reconciling and extracting reports – is essential for this role
Skills: Proven variance analysis and budgeting/forecasting experience, sound knowledge of IFRS, advanced Excel, and experience managing auditor requests end-to-end; a clear communicator who can explain the numbers to non-finance colleagues
Education: Qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CPA or equivalent), good character, team spirit and an obsession with detail
