Firewall Engineer

Hiring Fulltime C2C Contractual Firewall Engineers (Check Point, Network Segmentation & Identity Awareness) for 6–12 months+

​Primary Tech Stack: Check Point Firewalls, Check Point Identity Awareness, Network Segmentation, Tufin (SecureTrack & SecureChange), Cisco Networking, TCP/IP Routing, RHEL / Linux, Active Directory, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch), Ansible / Python
​Key Responsibilities:
• Firewall Policy & Ruleset Optimization: Analyze, define, and optimize enterprise Check Point firewall policies and rulesets to enhance network security and operational efficiency.
• Network Segmentation & Migration: Lead technical execution for large-scale network segmentation and location separation transformation initiatives.
• Identity-Based Access Control: Implement, configure, and maintain user-based firewalling utilizing Check Point Identity Awareness integrated with Active Directory.
• Change Management & Tufin Workflow: Coordinate complex firewall changes, routing updates, and policy automation via Tufin SecureTrack and SecureChange.
• Troubleshooting, Auditing & Log Analysis: Perform deep TCP/IP packet analysis, log enrichment and monitoring using ELK Stack (Elasticsearch), troubleshoot routing/authentication issues, and support security audits.
​Core Requirements:
• 7–10 years of dedicated experience in Network Security, Firewall Engineering, and Infrastructure Operations.
• Check Point Expertise: Expert hands-on proficiency with Check Point Firewalls and Check Point Identity Awareness.
• Policy Management Tooling: Direct operational experience with Tufin SecureTrack and SecureChange.
• Networking & Protocol Depth: Strong Cisco networking background with profound TCP/IP knowledge (routing, port utilization, packet sequencing, protocol analysis).
• Systems & Identity Foundations: Solid understanding of RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration, Windows Server, and Microsoft Active Directory (OUs, authentication protocols, identity mapping).
​Desirable / Preferred:
• Security Automation: Scripting and automation skills using Ansible or Python.
• Language & Certifications: Business-fluent English (German is a plus); relevant certifications such as CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert) or CCNP Security.
