Azure DevOps Engineer – Job Description

Role Overview
Must-Have Competencies
• Demonstrated DevOps experience delivering production-grade software.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in using Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Proven experience in Microsoft Azure, with special focus on Azure DevOps.
• Skilled in using Terraform for infrastructure as code and cloud resource management.
• Experience with GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Automating the creation and maintenance of complex cloud infrastructure (anything as code).
• Strong cross-discipline and cross-group collaboration skills.
• Passion for delivering high-quality, delightful user experience.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies and adopt appropriate solutions from established or open-source technologies. Responsibilities / Expectations
• Automate and manage infrastructure deployments using Ansible and Terraform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth and reliable application deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
• Continuously seek opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Design and delivery of the mission critical stack, with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance.
• Partner with our development teams in defining and implementing improvements in service architecture.
• Articulate technical characteristics of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams to engineer new solutions on the Azure Cloud.
• Solve complex problems related to cloud services and to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of our products and services.

• Facilitate service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
• Share and contribute: Support and guide less senior team members, contribute to team spirit and dynamic growth, actively participate in wider engineering group- and product-wide activities.
