JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to support project requirements involving subsurface investigations, foundation design, geotechnical analysis, and construction inspections. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in geotechnical investigations, technical report preparation, fieldwork coordination, and engineering evaluations.
The role offers an opportunity to collaborate with international teams and contribute to projects across India, the Middle East, London, and New York. Candidates must be comfortable performing fieldwork in India, coordinating with project teams, and travelling when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATIONS & FIELDWORK
Coordinate subsurface investigations and perform field observations.
Prepare drilling logs, test pit logs, field investigation daily reports, and chain of custody forms.
Coordinate field activities and maintain accurate investigation records.
Perform inspections of geotechnical construction activities when required.
Support field investigations and document relevant observations.
FOUNDATION DESIGN & ENGINEERING ANALYSIS
Assist in the design of deep foundations, support of excavation systems, and underpinning systems.
Perform engineering analysis and evaluations, including settlement analysis, liquefaction assessments, and lateral pile analysis.
Support the evaluation of foundation systems and other geotechnical aspects of construction.
Assist with engineering calculations, technical evaluations, and design documentation.
TECHNICAL REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION
Prepare geotechnical engineering reports, specifications, plans, and supporting documents.
Review field investigation data and incorporate findings into technical reports.
Maintain accurate engineering records and ensure attention to detail in documentation.
Assist with proposal writing and preparation of project-related technical documents.
PROJECT COORDINATION & COLLABORATION
Assist project managers with proposal preparation, fieldwork coordination, and project management support.
Coordinate with internal teams and international project stakeholders.
Communicate technical findings, project updates, and field observations effectively.
Manage assigned tasks independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION & PROJECT SUPPORT
Support inspections of geotechnical construction activities as required.
Assist with field activities related to earthwork, driven and drilled pile foundations, load testing, footing subgrade preparation, backfill inspection, and ground improvement, where applicable.
Support retaining wall design and inspection activities.
Coordinate fieldwork activities and ensure relevant observations are documented.
Travel to project sites in India and work flexible hours according to project requirements.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Accurate geotechnical investigation logs and field reports.
Timely preparation of technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Reliable engineering calculations and geotechnical analysis.
Effective coordination of field investigations and construction inspections.
Accurate documentation of field observations and project findings.
Timely support for project managers and international project teams.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering is mandatory.
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is strongly preferred.
1-4 years of experience in geotechnical investigations, design, and construction inspections.
Experience in fieldwork coordination, geotechnical report preparation, and specification writing.
Knowledge of subsurface investigations, foundation construction, earthwork, and retaining structures is preferred.
Exposure to driven and drilled pile foundations, load testing, footing subgrade preparation, backfill inspection, ground improvement, and support of excavation systems is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to perform fieldwork in India and travel when required.
Flexibility to work according to project schedules and international team requirements.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering is mandatory.
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is strongly preferred.
