About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

The team
APAC Central Operations champions the region’s strategic priorities by partnering with Local, Global, and Product teams to inform and deliver a high-impact product strategy and drive operational excellence across all our regional markets.
We are a high-impact, agile team that thrives in a unique region of diverse, dynamic markets, embracing complexity to drive innovative, localised strategies. Our mission moves beyond BAUs and coordination, focusing instead on ruthlessly picking the highest-leverage battles to drive maximum regional impact. We utilise a streamlined structure to elevate market-level decision-making, ensuring rapid, high-quality planning and launches. Our work is underpinned by three core pillars: championing incremental technological improvements for long-term growth; fostering collaborative expertise among domain experts; and ensuring effective global coordination for seamless collaboration with all partners.
What you’ll do
For the Senior Strategy and Operations role, you are responsible for developing, advocating for, and stewarding the APAC Delivery strategy. Your impact is balanced between global execution and regional advocacy:
Strategic Stewardship: You will move to an "always-on" planning mindset, influencing the global product roadmap and scoping by leveraging APAC thought leadership.
Operational Excellence: You will transform APAC performance by maximising investment efficiency and designing sharp, data-backed regional strategies aligned to market maturity and competitive intensity. Champion knowledge transfer across markets and distill regional complexity into strategic priorities that influence global direction and strengthen regional capability.
Knowledge Leadership: Be a trusted source of product knowledge. You will foster knowledge sharing between APAC markets and Product, ensuring the quick adoption of best practices and best-practice settings across our stack.
High-Stakes Coordination: You will assist with coordinating multi-market and high risk escalations, ensuring a clear and consolidated view of the product plan for APAC market, Legal and other XFN teams.
Market Nuance: You will understand and assess market-level nuances to product launches and configurations, sharing findings to ensure our "Global First" operating model is continuously refined.
The Domain — Consumer: Shopping & Ordering
The Core Consumer Experience domain focuses on making shopping and ordering seamless, intuitive and rewarding across OFD, Grocery and Retail.
Building on the consumer discovery journey, this domain owns the regional strategy and operational excellence of core shopping, transaction and post-order experiences. The objective is to remove friction, improve basket building and conversion, and strengthen consumer trust and engagement through scalable Product capabilities.
Key areas of ownership include:
Search: Improve search relevance, usability and conversion across verticals, reflecting different consumer missions and category needs.
Bundling & Basket Building: Drive adoption and optimisation of Add-ons and Post-Checkout Bundling (PCB), unlocking incremental orders and basket growth through more seamless shopping experiences.
Loyalty UX: Identify opportunities to improve merchant level loyalty discovery and engagement within core consumer journeys, extending relevant capabilities across OFD, Grocery and Retail in partnership with Merchant teams.
Shopping & Order Experience: Improve the end-to-end journey across shopping, checkout, fulfillment, post-order and quality experiences, reducing consumer friction and strengthening reliability and trust.
Category-Specific Experiences: Champion differentiated consumer needs across categories such as Pharma and Alcohol, ensuring core Product capabilities support category-specific shopping behaviours and regulatory requirements.
Success in this role means translating consumer insights into meaningful Product improvements that drive incremental growth, improve the consumer experience and create scalable solutions across APAC markets.
What you’ll need
We are looking for a Domain Expert who thrives in a lean, high-output environment.
Experience: 4+ years in Product Owner (consumer facing), GTM, or Operational roles. You should have a 'knack for bringing innovative ideas to your work' while maintaining a collaborative approach.
Analytical Rigour: Ability to proficiently analyse data using SQL and advanced Excel to derive actionable insights and provide valuable recommendations.
Strategic Influence: Experience in harmonising themes from market-level forums to ensure strategic priority alignment. You can 'distill the noise' into a coordinated regional voice.
Strategic Prioritisation: Possessing a 'super power' in ruthless prioritisation, with the ability to manage complex trade-offs and focus resources and time on the highest-leverage regional growth initiatives.
Project Management: Demonstrated skills in organisation and stakeholder management, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
