UX Designer – Lead UX Design & AI Product Strategy
Job Overview
Job Title: UX Designer / Lead UX Designer & AI Product Strategist
Company / Recruiter: Randstad Technologies
Industry: Enterprise Technology / Financial Services / Artificial Intelligence
Location: Not specified in the supplied listing
Employment Type: Not specified
Work Arrangement: Not specified
Role Focus: Enterprise UX, AI-powered workflows, service design, and product strategy
About The Role
Randstad Technologies is advertising a senior-level UX design and AI product strategy opportunity focused on modernising complex enterprise financial and operational workflows. The role sits at the intersection of user experience architecture, enterprise service design, and artificial intelligence, with a particular emphasis on making high-volume business processes more efficient, transparent, and reliable.
The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end transformation of financial workflows covering contract execution, invoicing, cash application, and exception resolution. Working closely with engineering, data science, operations, and business leadership teams, you will identify operational challenges and design intelligent workflows that combine human judgement with autonomous AI agents.
This is a strategic and advisory-oriented position rather than a role focused exclusively on producing interface designs. You will help define AI product opportunities, determine how AI capabilities should be introduced into enterprise environments, and ensure that automated systems remain understandable, controllable, and trustworthy for the people using them.
A major part of the role involves designing human-in-the-loop experiences, establishing evaluation frameworks for AI systems, and incorporating data governance and regulatory considerations into product decisions. You will also maintain high visual design standards and contribute to the development of enterprise design systems.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Workflow Optimisation
Analyse existing enterprise processes to understand how financial and operational workflows function from beginning to end.
Identify bottlenecks, repetitive activities, manual interventions, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Design streamlined workflows that combine human decision-making with AI-powered automation.
Improve user experiences across contract execution, invoicing, cash application, and exception management.
Ensure proposed solutions address business requirements while remaining practical, scalable, and usable.
Work with operations and technical teams to translate process challenges into clear experience improvements.
AI Product Strategy and Feature Scoping
Identify opportunities to apply AI to complex enterprise workflows and business processes.
Define user-centred AI product strategies that balance innovation, usability, and operational control.
Scope minimum viable products (MVPs) for AI-powered and autonomous workflows.
Determine where AI automation is appropriate and where human review or intervention should remain necessary.
Collaborate with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to evaluate technical feasibility and product value.
Make informed decisions about feature prioritisation, workflow complexity, and implementation trade-offs.
AI Agent Evaluation and Feedback
Establish continuous monitoring and evaluation frameworks for AI-powered workflows and autonomous agents.
Define performance measures that go beyond basic model accuracy, including precision, recall, calibration, and robustness.
Design feedback mechanisms that help teams understand system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Consider the operational impact of false positives, incorrect recommendations, and unreliable automated decisions.
Use evaluation insights to improve user experiences, strengthen safeguards, and support ongoing product development.
Ensure that AI capabilities are assessed against real operational needs rather than technical metrics alone.
Human-in-the-Loop UX and Trust Design
Design interfaces that communicate AI confidence levels and help users understand when intervention may be necessary.
Develop exception-handling patterns that allow people to review, correct, or override automated outcomes.
Create transparent experiences that explain AI-generated recommendations and decisions where appropriate.
Establish clear interaction patterns for situations involving uncertainty, errors, or sensitive business decisions.
Balance automation with human oversight to build trust among enterprise users.
Ensure AI-powered workflows remain understandable and manageable within complex operational environments.
Data Governance and Responsible AI
Work with data engineers and other technical specialists to identify data-related risks in AI product development.
Address concerns involving dataset leakage, data drift, historical bias, and the quality of training or evaluation data.
Incorporate responsible AI principles into product design and workflow decisions.
Support alignment with relevant regulatory requirements, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU AI Act.
Consider privacy, transparency, fairness, and accountability when designing AI-powered experiences.
Help ensure that product decisions reflect both user needs and the governance requirements of enterprise environments.
Visual Design and Enterprise Design Systems
Maintain high standards of visual craftsmanship across typography, layout, information hierarchy, and interactive components.
Develop detailed prototypes for complex enterprise workflows and AI-assisted interactions.
Contribute to the consistency, scalability, and usability of enterprise design systems.
Create interfaces that present complex operational information clearly and efficiently.
Ensure design decisions support accessibility, usability, and effective user decision-making.
Translate complex product requirements into polished and coherent user experiences.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Advisory
Guide multidisciplinary teams working across design, engineering, data science, and operations.
Align business stakeholders around user needs, product priorities, and implementation objectives.
Facilitate discussions about technical feasibility, user experience quality, and operational requirements.
Make strategic trade-off decisions when balancing AI capabilities, user control, and business outcomes.
Communicate design rationale and product strategy clearly to senior stakeholders.
Help establish a shared direction for the transformation of enterprise workflows.
Required Skills And Core Competencies
Candidates should demonstrate senior-level experience in UX design, enterprise workflow transformation, and AI product strategy.
Service Design and Interaction Design
Strong expertise in service design, interaction design, and visual design.
Advanced skills in typography, information hierarchy, and complex workflow prototyping.
Experience designing for enterprise applications and sophisticated operational environments.
Knowledge of enterprise design systems and reusable interface components.
AI Product Strategy
Experience identifying AI opportunities and defining practical product use cases.
Ability to scope AI MVPs and prioritise features based on user needs and operational value.
Understanding of human-in-the-loop design, confidence indicators, and model transparency.
Ability to balance automation with human oversight and appropriate operational controls.
AI Evaluation and Metrics
Knowledge of AI evaluation approaches beyond basic accuracy.
Understanding of precision, recall, calibration, robustness, and false-positive impact.
Ability to translate model evaluation findings into user experience and product decisions.
Experience designing feedback loops and continuous improvement processes for AI-enabled products.
Data Strategy and Governance
Understanding of data labelling, data drift, and algorithmic bias mitigation.
Awareness of data quality, privacy, and responsible AI considerations.
Familiarity with GDPR and the EU AI Act.
Ability to collaborate with data and engineering teams on governance-related challenges.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
A demonstrated record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.
Strong strategic decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
Experience guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex design and product challenges.
The ability to explain technical and design trade-offs in terms of user needs and business outcomes.
