Programme Overview:
Through the roll out of a global transformation programme, LaSalle is redesigning the operating model of its Asset & Portfolio Management (A&PM) teams. The programme is organised around three interconnected workstreams, sponsored by the Global Head of A&PM Transformation and coordinated by the central Programme & Transition Management team in London:
Org Design – capability model design, location strategy, role and structure definition, regional org blueprints, and the Investment Management Services (IMS) & JBS playbook.
Process & Service Delivery – due diligence, decision and transition of activities; process mapping and decision-gate workshops; new capability/process design; oversight of IMS and JBS (offshore) transitions; automation pathway coordination.
Data, Tech & AI – the platform underpinning the new operating model, including data governance, AI readiness and enablement (including Claude), controls/audit capability, platform and tooling strategy, and analytics capability building.
Each workstream generates a significant change management requirement for the people and teams affected, coordinated through the programme's Change & Adoption strand (stakeholder engagement, communications, AI adoption and training, regional change network, resistance management).
The programme is now moving from design into regional due diligence, detailed design and implementation. Singapore has been identified as a key regional hub for Asia Pacific (alongside Tokyo), and this role is being created to provide dedicated, on-the-ground programme capacity to support the region through this phase.
Role Description:
This is a hands-on project and change role, based in Singapore, acting as the programme's "person on the ground" for Asia Pacific. The Europe-based programme team sets design direction and owns the global workstreams; this role delivers locally. The individual works day-to-day as an integrated member of that team, while maintaining a dotted-line relationship to the Regional COO & GC, Asia Pacific, and working in partnership with the VP Operations, Asia Pacific, to ensure regional priorities, sensitivities and readiness are properly reflected in programme delivery.
The individual will split their time across due diligence, process re-engineering, implementation and local change management as the programme moves through the phases in the region — this is not a narrowly-scoped role, and as the only programme team member in the region, the successful candidate will need to be comfortable picking up whichever of these activities is the priority at a given point in time.
Key accountabilities
Due Diligence & Process Re-engineering
Support regional due diligence on centralisation candidates, working with local teams to understand activities, process steps and handoffs, in line with the direction set by the Programme.
Facilitate process mapping and decision-gate workshops, applying the programme's five-lens framework (eliminate, automate, centralise onshore, centralise offshore, remain as-is).
Document current-state processes and contribute to the design of new, future-state processes and capabilities for the region.
Coordinate with the Process & Service Delivery workstreams to ensure regional findings feed into global design decisions, and vice versa.
Implementation & Transition Management
Support the development of a practical regional implementation plan for Asia Pacific, translating global design decisions (organisation structure, role definitions, process allocations) in partnership with the local Operations and HR.
Support local elements of the IMS and JBS (offshore) transition, including resource mapping, playbook adoption and go-live readiness.
Track and report regional implementation progress, risks and issues into the central Programme & Transition Management team.
Support recruitment, onboarding and mobilisation of any new onshore/regional hub resources in Singapore and Tokyo.
Local Change Management
Act as the primary on-the-ground change contact for Asia Pacific, working with the London-based Change Manager to adapt the global change strategy and communications to local context and culture.
Support local leaders and functional teams in understanding what is changing, why, and what it means for them, including running local briefings, workshops and Q&A sessions.
Identify local pockets of resistance or readiness risk early, and feed these back into the programme's stakeholder engagement plan.
Support the regional change network and contribute to the wider Change & Adoption workstream.
Project Management
Maintain regional project plans, RAID logs and status reporting in line with the wider programme's governance and reporting cadence.
Prepare materials for regional and global steering committee updates, including other Regional forums.
Plan regional workshops, site visits and leadership sessions, with logistical and scheduling support from the wider programme team.
Escalate risks, resourcing gaps or decisions needed in a timely way to the Global programme team and Regional COO & GC.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong working relationships with local A&PM teams, functional leaders and the Regional COO & GC's office in Singapore/Asia Pacific.
Represent the region's perspective within the central programme team, and represent the programme's priorities and plans locally.
Act as a trusted, visible point of contact for the programme within the region, building confidence in the transformation among local staff.
Required Skills and Experience
Professional Background
8+ years’ experience in project management, business transformation, process improvement or organisational change, ideally gained in-house or with a top-tier consulting firm.
Prior experience supporting or delivering operating model change, offshoring/centralisation, or shared-services transitions is highly desirable.
Exposure to financial services, asset/investment management or real estate is an advantage but not essential.
Track record of working independently and with credibility as the only team member on the ground for a broader, geographically-distributed programme team.
Skills & Attributes
Strong process/analytical skills, with the ability to map, document and re-design end-to-end processes.
Practical project management skills — planning, RAID management, reporting — and comfort operating with light-touch central oversight.
Confident communicator and facilitator, able to run workshops and manage stakeholders from junior team members through to senior regional leadership.
Sound change management instincts — able to translate a global change strategy into locally-relevant messaging and action.
Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to manage competing priorities across due diligence, implementation and change activity simultaneously.
Cultural fluency across the Asia Pacific region, and an understanding of the operating context in Singapore and neighbouring markets (Japan, India, etc.) is beneficial.
High level of personal integrity and discretion, given exposure to sensitive organisational design and people-impact information.
