Lead the transformation of traditional monolithic applications into modern, loosely coupled, microservices-based architectures.
Design highly available, resilient, and fault-tolerant solutions for customer-facing applications operating at bank scale.
Architect and guide the development of cloud-native applications and API-first solutions.
Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for performance, scalability, and compliance.
Conduct system and process analysis to identify architectural gaps and opportunities for automation and performance improvement.
Evaluate and recommend data storage strategies across RDBMS, NoSQL, and legacy/emerging database technologies.
Act as a technical liaison between engineering teams and non-technical/business stakeholders, clearly communicating architectural trade-offs and decisions.
Ensure solutions adhere to banking-industry regulatory, security, and data-privacy requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOX, GLBA, and internal risk/compliance frameworks).
Contribute to architecture governance, design reviews, and the definition of reusable patterns and standards across the GCC.
Mentor engineers and junior architects on architectural best practices (Principal level and above).
Required Qualifications
12–15 years of experience in web/software development, with progressively increasing responsibility in solutions or enterprise architecture.
Proven, hands-on experience with the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-tiered software systems.
Strong foundation across multiple IT disciplines, with demonstrated understanding of core architectural concepts and patterns (e.g., SOA, event-driven, microservices, domain-driven design).
Experience conducting system and process analysis to inform architectural decisions.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions with both technical and non-technical/business stakeholders.
Solid experience working with data and database management systems, including both legacy and modern/emerging database technologies.
Experience with RDBMS required; hands-on experience with NoSQL is required.
Demonstrated experience designing and building highly available, customer-facing applications in a global delivery/shared-services (GCC) model.
Experience designing and building cloud-native applications and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
Demonstrated experience designing highly available, resilient architectures, including automation and performance-optimization initiatives.
Proven experience transforming monolithic architectures into modern, decoupled microservices-based systems.
Working experience in at least two to three of the following domains: Infrastructure, Security, DevOps, Application Development, Database Technologies, or Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent); equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Desired / Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the banking or financial services domain, including an understanding of consumer and custodial banking operations and experience handling sensitive financial data.
Strong business analysis, solution-crafting, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
Experience in cybersecurity architecture or secure-by-design principles.
Working knowledge of multiple programming languages and at least one modern front-end framework (Angular, React, or Vue), such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Golang, C, or C++.
UI/UX design exposure, including familiarity with web/application branding and design-system practices.
Cloud architecture certification(s) — AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
Enterprise architecture framework knowledge (e.g., TOGAF) or equivalent certification.
Experience working in Agile/SAFe delivery environments across distributed, global teams and time zones.
