Assistant Manager -Flight Operations Engineer

Brief About The Role/ Team/ Candidate Requirement
The role supports the airline’s operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and environmental performance through a combination of data analytics, performance engineering, and CORSIA compliance activities. The position is responsible for generating actionable reports and dashboards from fuel and operational efficiency platforms such as SkyBreathe, Skywise, and AIMS, enabling continuous monitoring of fuel burn, operational performance, and efficiency trends. These insights support data-driven decision-making across Flight Operations, Performance Engineering, and Fuel Management teams.
The role works closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including Flight Operations, Performance Engineering, Fuel Management, Finance, Sustainability/ESG, A key component of the role involves managing CORSIA-related activities, including the calculation of annual offsetting requirements as per CAR/ICAO guidelines, preparation of Annual Emissions Reports (AER), and maintenance of comprehensive compliance records. This includes emissions data, third-party verification reports, and offset purchase and cancellation documentation, ensuring full audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
BE / B.Tech - Computer science / AI &ML / Aeronautics or
BSc - Math / Physics / Statistics
Data scientist / Data analyst
Minimum 4 years
Skill set
Python / SQL
POWER BI / Tableau
QGIS / ARC GIS / Terrain Mapping
Data Visualization and Reporting
Sound knowledge of MS office tools Including power point for presentation
Key Competencies
Dashboards, Reports, hand on experience on BI Application
Knowledge of A/C Performance and Air regulations and aeronautical charts aspects.
Knowledge of AIMS / JOC / Rostering system.
Job responsibility
Fuel Efficiency & Operational Performance Monitoring
Monitor and analyze fuel consumption, operational performance, and efficiency trends across the airline network.
Utilize platforms such as SkyBreathe, Skywise, AIMS, and other operational databases to generate actionable insights.
Develop and maintain operational dashboards, KPIs, and management reports to support data-driven decision making.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Create, automate, and maintain performance reports and business intelligence dashboards.
Analyze flight operations data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
Support strategic initiatives through data modeling and operational analytics.
CORSIA Compliance Management
Act as a focal point for CORSIA compliance activities and emissions reporting.
Calculate annual CORSIA offsetting requirements in accordance with ICAO and DGCA/CAR requirements.
Prepare and submit Annual Emissions Reports (AER) and supporting regulatory documentation.
Ensure accurate monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) of fuel burn and emissions data.
Emissions Data Governance & Audit Readiness
Maintain complete and accurate records of emissions data, offset purchases, and offset cancellation certificates.
Coordinate with internal and external verifiers during audits and compliance reviews.
Perform data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation of emissions and fuel consumption records.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Flight Operations, Performance Engineering, Fuel Management, Finance, ESG/Sustainability, Digital, and Regulatory teams.
Provide data and compliance support for management reviews, audits, and regulatory submissions.
Monitor airline environmental performance indicators and carbon efficiency metrics.
Benchmark operational efficiency and sustainability performance against established targets.
