Senior Firmware Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Firmware Engineer role based in Noida. The Senior Firmware Engineer will design, implement, and optimize embedded firmware for utility-focused products and solutions, ensuring reliability, performance, and security. Daily responsibilities include developing and maintaining embedded software on ARM-based platforms, collaborating with hardware and electrical engineering teams on system architecture, and integrating firmware with existing product ecosystems. The role involves debugging complex issues at the hardware–software interface, performing code reviews, and contributing to best practices for firmware development, testing, and documentation. The Senior Firmware Engineer will also participate in requirement analysis, contribute to product roadmaps, and mentor junior engineers to support Kimbal’s innovation-driven culture.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Embedded Software and Software Development skills, with experience in C/C++ and real-time systems.
Candidates should possess solid ARM Architecture knowledge, including low-level programming, peripheral interfacing, and optimization for resource-constrained devices.
Candidates should possess hands-on Debugging skills for embedded systems, using tools such as JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Candidates should possess a foundation in Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to embedded hardware, including schematics interpretation and basic circuit analysis.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD for firmware, and structured testing methodologies.
Background in IoT, smart meters, or utility-domain products is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Noida, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
