(This is an internal opportunity only and is not open to candidates outside of Medserv)
The Opportunity
Use your experience and training provided to help improve experiences for our team and our clients.
Have a chance to challenge what isn't working.
Identify improvements and have them listened though forums and events like Solve my Challenge.
Understand through your raining that some changes can be delivered within the teams without needing tech changes.
Have a voice in how we introduce changes.
Help your team through change.
Participate in regular forums with change leads.
Being a Change Champion is a great opportunity to learn new skills, gain experience in change and continuous improvement, and help shape the future of UK Operations and RPMUK.
Reporting
You will continue to report to your line manager, with Change Champion activities supported and coordinated by the programme lead. Your day-to-day responsibilities will remain the same, with time for Change Champion activities agreed alongside your existing work.
We want this to be a positive development experience, so we will support you with learning opportunities and recognise your contribution through a small additional payment, reflecting the time and investment involved.
What you’ll be doing
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce duplication and improve service, sharing practical suggestions with the programme lead.
Act as a subject matter expert for your area, providing insight into current processes, client requirements and operational challenges.
Help test new processes, systems and ways of working before rollout, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
Gather colleagues’ feedback and raise questions, concerns and practical barriers with the programme lead.
Share agreed updates and help colleagues understand and adopt changes.
Attend change meetings, complete agreed actions and share progress, results and lessons learned.
Undertake relevant study and training, applying new knowledge and skills to support operational improvements.
What’s the Commitment?
Change Champion activities, including training, testing and implementation, may take place during normal working hours and occasionally outside working hours.
The time commitment will be planned and agreed in advance with your line manager and the programme lead, balancing development opportunities with day-to-day responsibilities.
What we are looking for
Open to all Medserv UK Operations and RPMUK employees who have passed probation.
Sound knowledge of your team’s processes and day-to-day work.
Clear communication and good listening skills.
A practical, constructive approach to solving problems.
Confidence to question existing ways of working and raise concerns respectfully.
Good organisation and reliability in completing agreed actions.
Willingness to study and complete relevant training in change and continuous improvement.
Previous change management experience is not required. Relevant briefings, training and support will be provided.
How to Apply
Prepare an expression of interest, which should be assessed and endorsed by your Supervisor / Manager, and answer these three questions:
Why would you like to become a Change Champion, and what relevant knowledge or strengths would you bring?
What is one process in your area you would improve, why, and how would you check whether your proposed change works?
Give an example of when you helped colleagues solve a problem or adopt a new way of working.
You can submit your expressions of interest by uploading it to Bamboo as you would your CV by no later than 31 October 2026.
How will we select?
We will assess your answers to the 3 questions using the following criteria:

Improvement thinking - A useful idea with sensible consideration of testing,
Working with others - Evidence of listening, supporting and involving colleagues, and
Motivation to learn - A clear interest in the role and developing your skills.
