About the Role
ou will gain hands-on experience in the daily insurance operations. You also will be responsible for delivering standard reports on periodic basis as required by the business for operations, regulatory, statutory purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Intern-Technology
Artificial intelligence (AI)
Support the review and documentation of current-state and future-state solution architectures, including architecture diagrams, workflow models, system interaction diagrams, and data flow documentation.
Conduct technology assessments and proof-of-concept evaluations across cloud, AI, DevOps, security, and integration platforms, and document findings and recommendations.
Assist in the preparation of technical presentations, project proposals, Architecture Review Board materials, and the maintenance of technical standards and knowledge repositories.
Infrastructure and Support
Analyze service uptime, incident trends, and support ticket volumes to identify patterns, forecast future demand, and provide insights to support capacity planning and operational improvements.
Develop dashboards, reports, and recommendations to enhance system monitoring, incident management, and overall service reliability.
Leverage Generative AI to design and implement prompt strategies for data analysis and reporting, while documenting and handing over the prompt framework and best practices to the BAU team upon completion of the internship.
Intern-Human Resources (AI)
Support the design, development, and testing of local HR AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Gain hands-on experience in Microsoft Copilot Studio and identify opportunities to automate HR processes through AI-powered solutions.
Assist in developing user guides, conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, and training HR teams on AI agent development and adoption.
Insurance Operations
Intern-Digital Innovation Hub
AI & Digital Solutioning
Support the development and testing of AI proof‑of‑concepts and MVPs, including copilots, analytics use cases, and intelligent automation solutions using Microsoft technologies.
Assist in solution design, data exploration, documentation, and basic validation of models or logic to ensure effectiveness and usability.
Automation
Support the design, development, and testing of automation solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate, including simple integrations with relevant data sources and systems.
Assist in process analysis, documentation, and the development of "as-is" and "to-be" process maps to support automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in user testing, feedback collection, enhancement activities, and the maintenance of automation logs, test cases, and support documentation.
Data Analytics & Insights
Support data preparation, validation, and management activities using data from multiple sources.
Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and reports using Power BI and other Microsoft analytics tools.
Perform ad hoc data analysis, identify trends and patterns, and generate actionable insights to support business and operational objectives.
Intern-Singapore Operations
Underwriting & Issuance
Support the operations through administrative, coordination activities, and tracking of case progress and turnaround time (TAT).
Assist in preparing basic operational reports and contribute to ad‑hoc initiatives, process improvements, and cross‑team coordination.
Corporate Solutions Claims / Life Claims / Healthcare
Identify opportunities to automate claims processes and support the design, testing, and implementation of automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Assist in reviewing, streamlining, and enhancing existing workflows through process analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational gap assessments.
Support the documentation of processes, improvement recommendations, and project deliverables to facilitate sustainable process optimization.
Note: There are several internship positions available across various departments. Your role will be assigned based on your interests and suitability.
Job Requirement:
Preferably an undergraduate in the penultimate or final year of a Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science / Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related program
Must be proficient in both written and spoken English
Excel academically with minimum CGPA 3.00 or second class upper or equivalent
Minimum internship duration would be 12 weeks or above
Compulsory internship placements required by university
Candidate with proficiency to converse in Mandarin / Cantonese would be an added advantage
Willing to be based at IOI City Tower 1, Putrajaya.
