About the Project:
Trillium Rail Partners (TRP) is a consortium of Amico Major Projects, Alberici Constructors, and Acciona Infrastructure Canada, working closely with Metrolinx to deliver the Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE), a transformative 9.2 km expansion of Toronto’s light rail network.
The ECWE will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometres farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components.
Position Overview:

Develop design briefs, scopes of work, and technical requirements in collaboration with construction and engineering teams.
Review temporary works designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, and method statements for completeness, constructability, compliance, and technical adequacy.
Assess installation, loading, operation, modification, and dismantling sequences, including stability, access, load transfer, and protection of adjacent assets.
Coordinate technical reviews and interfaces between engineering disciplines, construction teams, designers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Evaluate temporary works options considering safety, constructability, site constraints, schedule, cost, reuse opportunities, and environmental impacts.
Support procurement activities, including technical tender evaluations, contractor submissions, supplier coordination, and management of technical interfaces.
Manage technical queries, design changes, and field conditions, ensuring impacts are assessed and appropriate approvals are obtained.
Participate in inspections, testing, monitoring, constructability reviews, and readiness assessments, ensuring temporary works are implemented in accordance with approved designs and project requirements.
Support compliance with project standards, temporary works procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations, including risk assessments, audits, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support planning for removal and reinstatement activities, including verification of permanent works readiness and load transfer requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Construction, or related engineering discipline; engineering technology diploma with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
5+ years of experience in temporary works, construction engineering, or specialist design delivery on major infrastructure, transit, tunnelling, or civil projects.
Experience reviewing temporary works designs, performing constructability reviews, developing scopes of work, conducting technical evaluations, and supporting field implementation.
Knowledge of temporary works systems including formwork, falsework, shoring, scaffolding, access systems, temporary structures, dewatering, and temporary site services.
Understanding of engineering design processes, construction methodologies, inspections, testing requirements, and risk management practices.
Strong technical, analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with project scheduling, procurement tracking, and multidisciplinary design coordination; P6 experience is an asset.
