Description supplied by the original job listing.
Senior Vice President, Financial Services Advisory, London
At AlixPartners, we solve the most complex and critical challenges in financial services, moving quickly from analysis to action when it matters most and creating value that lasts for institutions, their people, and the communities they serve. We understand, respect, and honour the needs of our employees, clients, and communities, and we actively promote an inclusive environment. We believe diversity strengthens our work and are committed to continually improving our initiatives, policies, and practices. We hold ourselves accountable by providing space for authenticity, growth, and equity for everyone.
AlixPartners has embraced a hybrid work model that supports work-life integration. The model combines in-person work, at a client site or in our London office, with remote working. This role requires three days per week in the London office or on client site. Travel is part of the role, though frequency varies with client, team, and individual circumstances.
What you’ll do
Our Financial Services Advisory team provides independent, senior-level expertise that helps banks, insurers, wealth managers, and payments providers drive value from technology and improve business performance. You will lead engagements across:
Strategy and operating model design for retail financial services, including governance and capability design
Payments and open banking strategy, including real-time payments, account-to-account payments, and go-to-market planning for new payment products
Target architecture and transformation roadmaps for core banking, payments, wealth, and insurance platforms, aligned to business objectives across data, application and integration, and infrastructure
Cost reduction, outsourcing, and end-to-end transformation programmes, including operational improvement for payments and financial services businesses
Platform and systems assessments, re-platforming, and rationalisation, including legacy modernisation
Commercial and technology due diligence, carve-outs, and merger integration, including private equity transactions spanning buy-side diligence, sell-side preparation, value creation planning, and exit readiness
Customer analytics and AI-enabled decision-making, including fraud, risk, and growth use cases
IT crisis management, interim leadership, and project turnaround for financial institutions
Central to our work is the technology strategy, organisation, applications, and infrastructure that underpin successful transformation in financial services. You will define and design target-state solutions, transition strategies, and roadmaps, and assess capability needs and associated risks. You will work closely with senior clients to address strategic, operational, and technological challenges, bridging the gap between technology and business to deliver measurable results.
