Water Jet Operator

A water jet operator is skilled in utilizing specialized equipment to precisely cut a variety of materials using pressurized streams of water. Their responsibilities include setting up and operating the water jet machine, ensuring maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
Operate water jet cutting machines to produce precision cut parts according to specifications
Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on the waterjet
Set up, adjust, and maintain machinery for optimal performance
Inspect finished products for quality control and adjust settings as necessary
Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and lubrication
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production flow
Safely moving rubber product and finished goods, handle large, heavy rubber sheet, plate and parts using proper equipment.
Operating a sit-down forklift.
Update product volume and quality paperwork.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Housekeeping
Requirements:
Experience operating water jet machines beneficial
Knowledge of safety procedures related to water jet operation
Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials – up to 100 lbs.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in cutting
Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise during operation
Familiarity with maintenance and upkeep of water jet machines
