About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Do you thrive on turning complex customer journeys into simple, effective solutions? Want to help shape the digital and telephony experiences used by thousands of Business customers while working at the heart of a major technology transformation? At EDF, Success is Personal, and this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Channels team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover for a key member of the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, Agile environment where you'll support the delivery of improvements across several customer-facing channels, including our Business Portal, telephony solutions, IVR journeys, email services and chat capabilities.
You'll join us on a salary starting from £45,000, with the potential for an annual bonus. This is a predominantly remote-working role, with occasional travel required, typically around once every other month to our Exeter office, depending on project and team needs.
Working alongside a team of Channel Engineers, one other Business Analyst and technical specialists, you'll play a critical role in taking initiatives from discovery through to delivery. You'll partner with stakeholders, developers, suppliers and business users to understand requirements, run workshops, define solutions and ensure changes deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers.
You will be helping to shape future roadmaps and improvements while ensuring our customers and their journeys remain at the centre of decision-making. You'll also work closely with engineering teams during daily Agile ceremonies, supporting delivery, managing requirements and helping troubleshoot issues through effective analysis and communication.
Across smart meters, heating and electric vehicles, EDF's Customers business is helping to shape a smarter, energy-saving future. We're proud to be a Sunday Times Best Places to Work Top 10 Very Big Organisation for two years running and a Highly Commended workplace for disabled employees.
Who You Are
You're an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders to solve problems and deliver meaningful change. You can confidently work within Agile teams, challenge constructively where needed and translate complex requirements into clear, actionable outcomes. To be successful, you'll ideally bring…
Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within technology, digital or customer-facing change environments
Strong requirements gathering, workshop facilitation and Business stakeholder management skills
Experience creating user stories, process maps, business requirements and acceptance criteria, working with Jira and Confluence tools
Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and working closely with development and engineering teams
An ability to understand customer journeys and identify opportunities to improve user experiences
Experience working within regulated industries would be beneficial, particularly utilities, energy, or telecommunications
What You'll Be Doing
Working with business stakeholders to understand change requirements and business priorities
Facilitating discovery sessions and workshops to define solutions and capture detailed requirements
Supporting telephony, IVR, digital channel and customer experience improvement initiatives
Creating high-quality user stories, requirements documentation and development-ready tickets
Collaborating daily with engineers, developers, suppliers and product stakeholders
Supporting backlog management and Agile delivery processes
Investigating issues, supporting defect resolution and helping business teams raise and manage change requests
Ensuring solutions align with customer needs, operational requirements and future strategic roadmaps
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a starting salary from £45,000, potential annual bonus and market-leading pension scheme, you'll have access to a range of flexible benefits including electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym memberships, life assurance, technology vouchers, experience days and much more.
