Redis is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to shape how engineers, and the AI agents working alongside them, use Redis. Our team builds the surfaces developers touch every day: the Redis Cloud console, Redis Insight, and the agentic layer of MCP servers, CLIs and agent skills that let an AI agent create, configure and work with Redis end to end. Our users are engineers, and so are we, so we hold a high bar for usability, performance and developer experience. AI-native is how we already work: agents write essentially all of our code and act as first responders on GitHub issues, alerts and failing tests, and every product idea starts as a working prototype. This is a high-ownership opportunity for a product-minded engineer who wants to build products they would personally use and have real impact on how developers interact with Redis.
The Role
What type of work will you be doing:
- Lead initiatives end to end, from discovery and prototyping through design, implementation, testing, release and monitoring, and own the outcome in production.
- Build and evolve the Redis console and its shared platform, including the shell, component library, theming and the module contracts other teams build on.
- Build agentic interfaces to Redis, such as MCP servers, CLIs and agent skills, so that anything a user can do in the UI, an agent can do too.
- Instrument what you ship and use adoption data to decide what to build next.
- Make agent-driven development reliable through quality gates, CI, eval harnesses and review practices.
- Work across team boundaries with backend, platform and product teams to ship cohesive experiences.
What You'll Bring to Redis
Your experience and strengths:
- 6+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Ownership of the full SDLC, including CI/CD, releases and production monitoring.
- A track record of leading initiatives to completion and aligning a team around clear solutions.
- A product mindset: you measure success by adoption and user value, not by how many PRs you merged.
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar), with a clear view of where they fail and how to guard against it.
- Comfort outside your home stack. Most of our work is TypeScript, but we've shipped Rust CLIs, Python MCP servers and Go prototypes, and we pick the stack the problem needs.
- Ability to pick up new technologies and domains quickly.
- Ability to thrive at pace across several parallel initiatives: you keep the context, write decisions down, raise disagreement before a decision is made, and commit once it is.
- Clear English communication skills and ability to work across distributed teams.
