Product Manager II
The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our focus on customer-centric innovation enables us to develop products that build loyalty and repeat business. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to drive growth and achieve results for our customers and the company.
Orders & Reservations sits at the center of Expedia Group's commerce platform — the system of record for every booking and the servicing backbone from purchase through cancellation, change, or refund. The platform supports global B2C travelers, B2B partners, and internal finance and analytics consumers across every line of business and brand.
As a Product Manager II, you will help improve the Book-to-Serve journey by supporting products and initiatives that increase purchase, booking, and payment success while reducing Failed Customer Interactions. You will work closely with engineering, analytics, operations, and partner teams to deliver reliable, scalable experiences across the transaction lifecycle.
In this role, you will:
Own and advance a defined product area within order management and reservations, translating customer, business, and technical needs into clear goals, priorities, and outcomes
Contribute to product vision, strategy, and roadmap development for capabilities that improve booking, payment, order orchestration, servicing, or transaction reliability
Partner with engineering and architecture teams to define APIs, workflows, integrations, retry logic, validation, and routing improvements for scalable distributed systems
Use data, customer insights, incident learnings, and root-cause analysis to identify friction points and prioritize improvements across the Shop-to-Book-to-Serve journey
Lead cross-functional initiatives from discovery through delivery, including writing PRDs, defining success metrics, managing dependencies, and communicating progress and trade-offs
Collaborate with operations and support teams to reduce Failed Customer Interactions through defect reduction, monitoring, alerting, and process improvements
Support experimentation and measurement of purchase, booking, payment, cancellation, refund, and servicing outcomes
Explore opportunities to apply AI/ML, LLMs, and intelligent automation — such as anomaly detection, synthetic monitoring, and agent-assisted operations — to improve reliability and operational effectiveness
Build strong relationships across product, engineering, design, analytics, finance, risk, and partner teams, influencing outcomes without direct authority
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of product management experience, including ownership of customer-facing, platform, marketplace, payments, booking, orders, reservations, or other transaction-oriented products
Working knowledge of commerce or booking journeys, including payment authorization, fraud, confirmation, cancellations, refunds, and post-booking servicing
Experience contributing to product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and delivery plans that produce measurable customer or business outcomes
Technical fluency in APIs, integrations, data, distributed systems, or cloud technologies, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and influence without direct authority
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use data, experimentation, and root-cause analysis to guide decisions
Experience defining product requirements, prioritizing work, and managing delivery across multiple teams or dependencies
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with order management systems, reservation platforms, travel or hospitality commerce, marketplaces, or other high-volume transactional products
Familiarity with booking and servicing metrics, such as Purchase Success Rate, Booking Success Rate, Payment Success Rate, authorization success, cancellation rates, refund completion, and contact or failure rates
Experience integrating with suppliers, payment providers, fraud systems, customer-support tools, finance platforms, or external B2B partners
Experience building or improving self-service capabilities for cancellations, changes, refunds, or trip management
Familiarity with observability, telemetry, incident management, platform health, cloud economics, or cost optimization
Software engineering, systems architecture, computer science, or other technical background
Experience working with global products across brands, lines of business, markets, currencies, regulatory environments, or customer segments
Experience in a fast-paced environment balancing customer value, commercial outcomes, platform health, and delivery constraints
MBA or equivalent business education
