Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Architecture & Modeling Engineer to design scalable data models and architectures for enterprise data platforms.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in data modeling, dimensional modeling, data warehousing, database design, and modern data architecture, with the ability to translate business requirements into robust logical and physical data models.
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Data Architecture and Data Modeling.
Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
Hands-on experience designing fact tables, dimension tables, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
Strong understanding of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) concepts and architecture.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience with data normalization and denormalization techniques.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architecture and data integration patterns.
Experience defining data entities, relationships, keys, constraints, and metadata.
Knowledge of data quality, data governance, lineage, and metadata management.
Experience working with large-scale enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Develop scalable data architectures supporting analytics, reporting, and enterprise data requirements.
Design dimensional models, including facts, dimensions, hierarchies, and relationships.
Translate functional and business requirements into appropriate data models.
Define data structures, entities, relationships, naming standards, and modeling conventions.
Support the design and implementation of EDW, data lake, and modern data platform architectures.
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, and business teams.
Review existing data models and recommend improvements for scalability and performance.
Support data quality, governance, metadata, and lineage initiatives.
Ensure data models meet performance, integrity, security, and scalability requirements.
Maintain architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and technical documentation.
Good to Have
Experience with modeling tools such as erwin Data Modeler, ER/Studio, or similar platforms.
Exposure to modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Understanding of Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Medallion Architecture.
Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM).
Exposure to data catalog and governance platforms such as Collibra or Microsoft Purview.
Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
