3rd Shift Welder - Oertel Metal Works

Oertel Metal Works is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Welder based out of Davenport, Iowa. We’re open to union welders at any level: Tradesman, Apprentice or Journeyman. Have welding experience, but haven’t been through an apprenticeship program? You can join us as an Industrial Worker.
The Welder is responsible for MIG, TIG and stick welding across various steps of the fabrication process, while helping to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the shop. This could also include operating a fork truck, moving materials, setting up or operating equipment, assisting with shipping/receiving and assembly, or other shop tasks.
What makes you successful in this position:
A current, valid driver’s license
Experience in welding, fabrication, assembly, or CNC machining
Previous work experience working with your hands and physical labor
Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and think of yourself as mechanically inclined
This position works Monday to Friday from 9:30pm to 6:00am each day, with the option for overtime. Pay is commensurate with experience and union status.
