Founding Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team as its first engineering hire. You will own core systems for an agentic integration platform serving enterprise customers and help establish the technical foundations for future growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime from design through production.
- Set engineering patterns and standards that support the growth of the team.
- Work closely with company founders, contributing technical judgment and leadership.
- Ship production improvements frequently while building reliable, observable systems.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three or more years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems, ideally in a fast-paced startup.
- Experience taking a product or major feature from zero to one, with measurable customer impact.
- Strong full-stack skills with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience building workflows with large language models and agent-based platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, PostgreSQL, and database design.
- Experience with production observability, monitoring, tracing, and reliable retry and queuing patterns in distributed systems.
- A broad engineering background and experience setting technical patterns for a growing team.
- A completed or in-progress undergraduate degree in computer science or engineering.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $150,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site in San Francisco, California.
