About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Senior Analytics Engineer
Immersive | Remote (UK) | Full Time | Engineering
A Platform You Can Believe In
Immersive One is a leading cyber resilience solution across the globe. Build and scale a best-in-class platform alongside some of the brightest minds in cybersecurity. We’re uniquely positioned to future-proof organisations against any cyber challenge.
Immersive is the cyber proving ground for the AI enterprise. Through Immersive One, organisations can test whether people, AI-enabled workflows, cyber security teams, agents and leaders can perform securely under realistic pressure, then turn that performance into evidence they can use to improve, benchmark and report readiness.
We’re trusted by 30%+ of the Fortune 100 and ranked #1 in the Forrester Wave 2026. We help organisations prove AI can be adopted safely, teams can develop and defend at AI speed, leaders can lead through crisis, and AI agents can be validated before they’re trusted in live workflows. Brands like Citi, Pfizer, Humana and HSBC rely on us to protect their revenues and reputations.
We were founded in 2017 in a cargo container in Bristol, UK. We’ve since grown to over 300 employees globally, announced funding of more than $180 million and been voted a Best Place to Work on multiple occasions.
As our customers say: “The speed at which Immersive produces technical content is hugely impressive, and this turnaround has helped get our teams ahead of the curve, giving them hands-on experience with serious vulnerabilities, in a secure environment, as soon as they emerge.” (Head of Global Cybersecurity Operations, HSBC)
About the Role
Join our established UK Engineering team as a Senior Analytics Engineer. We’re looking for someone curious, eager to solve problems and excited to build alongside a collaborative team. You’ll report to one of our Engineering Managers and play a key part in building the Immersive One platform, in a team that values determination, ingenuity and pragmatic, reusable technical solutions. You can see part of our work in our free community offering at immersivelabs.com/cybermillion.
This is a chance to help develop a truly ground-breaking product and shape its future, working across our entire system landscape. You’ll collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Software Engineers to develop, maintain and refactor analytical data models in our data warehouse. As part of a product team, you’ll use strong technical and communication skills to work cross-functionally and deliver valuable insights to our customers.
We’re not just seeking a skillset. We want a driven, curious and collaborative person to become an important part of our team. You’ll work in a friendly, multi-disciplinary agile team, and you’ll get to work on innovative ideas during our Hack Weeks, where teams collaborate to find unique solutions.
Your Main Responsibilities
You’ll lead initiatives on topics such as data quality, observability and model optimisation. Typical work includes:
Designing, building and maintaining high-quality datasets so engineers can build robust customer-facing reporting
Working closely with engineers to assess and reduce the impact of upstream product changes
Applying domain knowledge to develop semantic layers for business intelligence
Mentoring junior engineers, teaching them the SDLC process and engineering best practices
What We’re Looking For
Success in this role depends most on your approach, underlying skills and potential for growth, even if some of the below would be new to you. We know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don’t have to match every requirement exactly to be considered.
You’re proficient in transforming, testing and documenting data while maintaining robust data lineage
You know data modelling, data access and data storage techniques
You follow software engineering best practices such as version control and continuous integration
You have strong SQL skills in cloud data warehouses (we use Snowflake) and are comfortable with performance optimisation, data partitioning and window functions
You can work effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in ambiguous situations, with only high-level direction
Experience with dbt for the data transformation layer
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker
Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus
