About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Make an Impact. Support the Team. Grow Your Career.
We're hiring a Part-Time Lead Field Service Technician to help maintain high-quality service, safety, and operational excellence across assigned multifamily communities. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this hands-on role combines field service work with leadership support responsibilities in emerging, remote, and developing markets.
As a bridge between the Field Service Technician and Field Service Leader roles, you'll help support service quality, operational consistency, technician development, and client satisfaction while remaining actively engaged in service execution. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build leadership skills and prepare for future advancement into a Field Service Leader role.
When a Field Service Leader is unavailable or a market is still growing, you'll help provide local operational support, coordinate service coverage, coach technicians, address service challenges, and help ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. Success in this role means not only solving immediate problems but also identifying trends, improving processes, and helping prevent future service issues.
What You'll Get
Pay: $ 22.00 Per Hour
Schedule: Part-Time, estimated 20-30 hours per week, varying based on market needs and service volume
Mileage Reimbursement: Mileage reimbursed monthly through our company reimbursement program
Career Growth: Develop leadership, coaching, and field operations skills while preparing for future advancement opportunities
What You'll Do
Perform field service work while maintaining company standards for safety, cleanliness, service quality, and client satisfaction
Provide operational support in emerging, remote, and developing markets
Step in for Field Service Leaders during absences and support assigned service areas and field teams
Coordinate same-day service coverage and route assignments to address call-offs, service gaps, and changing operational priorities
Help ensure consistent, high-quality service across assigned communities
Onboard, train, and coach technicians while supporting ongoing development and reinforcing standard work practices
Conduct community service-quality and safety audits and help coordinate corrective actions when needed
Identify service and operational trends and recommend improvements that support operational consistency and market growth
Conduct regular field visits to evaluate service execution, safety practices, and route performance
Respond to routine service issues and escalate complex concerns, safety matters, and personnel issues to the Operations Manager
Fill in on service as needed due to staffing gaps, absences, business needs, launches, or high-volume periods
Support market launches and stabilization activities, including container distribution, technician training, client onboarding support, service-quality checks, and community events
Coordinate day-to-day with Field Service Leaders and provide operational updates and handoffs during coverage periods
Complete minor equipment repairs and report equipment or operational issues requiring additional support
Build positive working relationships with technicians, Field Service Leaders, Operations leadership, property teams, and clients
Report safety hazards, equipment concerns, and operational issues promptly
What You'll Bring
You're dependable and take pride in doing quality work
You enjoy solving problems and finding ways to improve how work gets done
You communicate well and build positive relationships with teammates and clients
You're comfortable working independently and taking initiative
You're interested in developing leadership skills and helping others succeed
You're comfortable using mobile apps and technology for work
Experience in field operations, logistics, valet trash, waste management, or a similar service environment is helpful
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old
Authorized to work in the U.S.
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license and current auto insurance with you listed as a covered driver
Reliable open-bed pickup truck or vehicle capable of towing an open utility trailer that meets company requirements
Smartphone with data plan required to access company applications and communications (stipend provided). Willingness to receive SMS/text communications throughout the pre-employment process and employment, including updates, scheduling, and work-related information.
Ability to perform physically active work, including lifting up to 50 lbs., walking long distances, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to safely operate a manual tamper and perform repetitive physical tasks
Ability to safely perform work in and around service areas, including elevated platforms, ladders, and uneven terrain
Comfortable working around trash, recycling, and related materials
