Please note: We are hiring for this position on projects for the Central Kootenays in Castlegar, Nelson, and Trail.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist tradespeople on-site with various tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup. Assist tradespeople on-site with various tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.
Load and unload construction materials and move them to designated work areas.
Perform basic construction tasks such as demolition, drilling, and surface preparation.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, removing debris, and managing waste disposal.
Follow site-specific safety protocols and always wear appropriate PPE.
Perform heavy lifting and repetitive physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Communicate effectively with team members, lead hand and foreman to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Champion General Contractor and RWC Safety guidelines and regulations.
Skills and qualifications
1-2 years of experience in a construction or labour-intensive role is preferred.
Capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions accurately.
