The company’s work spans sectors such as buildings, transportation, infrastructure, energy, and public works.
About The Role
Hill International is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery of construction and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will coordinate project activities from early planning through construction and closeout, while serving as a trusted point of contact for the client and project team. You will monitor performance against approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements, identify issues that could affect delivery, and recommend practical solutions. The successful candidate brings sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Project assignments and responsibilities may vary depending on client needs, project scope, and location.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent education and relevant professional experience may also be considered. Candidates should have substantial experience managing or supporting construction, capital improvement, or infrastructure projects, with a demonstrated understanding of project controls, contract administration, cost management, scheduling, and quality processes. Experience working with owners, consultants, contractors, and public-sector stakeholders is valuable. Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or an applicable industry credential are an advantage. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates should be comfortable using common project management and reporting tools and be able to review technical documentation, budgets, schedules, and progress reports. The role may require travel to project sites and the ability to work in office, remote, and field environments, as project requirements dictate.
Responsibilities
Lead or coordinate project teams and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, designers, and other stakeholders. Develop, review, and monitor project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and progress reports. Track project scope and performance, communicate variances, and support timely corrective action. Review contractor submissions, change requests, payment applications, and other project documentation for completeness and alignment with contract requirements. Identify project risks, constraints, and potential delays, and work with relevant parties to develop mitigation strategies. Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and action items, and follow up to ensure commitments are addressed. Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved plans, specifications, safety expectations, quality standards, and applicable regulations. Support procurement, contract administration, commissioning, and project closeout activities as assigned. Prepare clear, accurate reports for clients and leadership, escalating issues appropriately and maintaining reliable project records. Promote a collaborative, accountable, and safety-conscious project environment.
