Role: Bookkeeper
Working Hours: 9am - 5pm EST
Location: Remote - South Africa
Salary: R22 000 - R23 000
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper with hands-on experience using QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, excellent communication abilities, and a professional manner when communicating with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping entries.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and financial statements.
Manage invoices, payments and expense records.
Assist with month-end reporting and financial documentation.
Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions.
Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Minimum Requirements
Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar bookkeeping role.
Hands-on experience using QuickBooks is essential.
Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial recordkeeping.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Clear, confident and professional telephone manner.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office applications.
