We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Business Development Support to join the BNY Investments team. This role is located in Tokyo, Japan.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Support the growth and day-to-day management of intermediary distribution relationships across Japan, working with major distributors, regional firms and asset managers.
Conduct client seminars for investors and deliver training sessions for distributor sales teams.
Expand existing distributor relationships while supporting the development of new business opportunities.
Develop structured training programmes and sales materials for new and existing distribution partners.
Partner with relationship managers and internal teams to prepare client proposals, presentations, marketing materials and other sales support.
Coordinate across product, marketing, legal and compliance teams to ensure distributor and client requirements are addressed efficiently.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Approximately 5–7 years of experience in sales, sales support, business development or intermediary distribution within asset management or financial services.
Experience working with distributors, financial institutions or asset management clients in the Japanese market.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver client seminars and distributor training.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple sales activities while working effectively across internal teams.
